... and the new year's present to the library are...

yes I know it has taken some time, hasn't it?

I got you two DVDs from my own library: Che part one and part two: a revolutionary life which will have lots of different Spanish spoken outside Spain, Spanish from Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba and many other countries from Latin America. It also has dialogues in American (US) English, Aymara and Quechua.

The other one Attack on Leningrad is a story within the siege of Leningrad, it has dialogues in English, German and Russian.

What I really liked with these two films is the fact that the languages spoken at the time and in the location are being respected... after all, if Dr Guevara was called "che" it is because he was using this expression a lot as many Argentines do. And Russian indeed was and is the language spoken in Leningrad (St Petersburg).
