Visit to the Bodleian Japanese Library

This morning I visited the Bodleian Japanese Library. I was amazed at the beauty of most Japanese books' designs. And then lucky to be shown some manuscripts. Thank you so much. Now for serious matter (though art is too...) we were also shown a few databases on OxLip+ : best is to select Japanese Studies in the subject option.

Databases for news: Asahi Shimbun which has "Kikuzo II Visual" one of the largest on-line databases for news in Japan (from 1945 onwards)
Nikkei Telecom21 which has the latest economical news

Language Learning database: Japan Knowledge which has several dictionaries, Japanese, English and multilingual and some encyclopaedias as well as many other reference resources.

Catalogues: The Allegro Catalogue, the Bodleian Library Catalogue for Chinese and Japanese holdings where you can use the romanised form of Japanese or Japanese script.

The European union catalogue of Japanese books, a project between NII and the Bodleian Library.
